Measuring guide

Our necklaces are made to size, so it is important to measure their neck correctly.

How to measure?

Have your dog stand upright or sitting. The easiest way to measure is with a soft measuring tape, butf you do not have one, a fine string also works. Choose which of the two options below suits your needs best, and measure snuggly but not tight.

Where to measure?

The necklaces are strictly an accessory only and are never to be used as a regular collar and have any leashes/leads attached, therefore it is important to know what walking gear your necklace will be paired with. Also note that if your dog has a longer coat, you might need to allow for some extra room, in which case you can allow for one to two fingers between the measuring tape while measuring.

Option 1

Paired with a regular collar: measure around the base of the neck, below where your regular collar sits. If you want it even more relaxed, you can allow for one to two fingers under the tape while measuring. Be aware that a looser fit increases the risk of the necklace getting hooked on something thus resulting in damage to the necklace or injury to your dog.

Option 2

Paired with a harness, halti or martingale: measure around the centre of the neck where you would like the necklace to sit. The necklace will naturally 'fall' a bit due to the weight of the charms and hardware, just like a true necklace would.
