Why Zulu Collars?

As a big dog owner, I found myself running into the same problem more often than not:

Every beautiful accessory was made for small dogs, whereas everything for big
dogs felt plain, heavy, or purely functional—and while those all serve a purpose, I felt like nothing I ever put on them captured their charm or elegance.

Zulu Collar's was born from that gap.

Named after my oldest of two dobermanns, I started the brand more as something personal. An accessory for my fur-babies. Just for 'funsies'.

But it quickly turned into a side-quest of testing the best materials, trying out different styles and colours, and it's grown out to be something I want to share with other pet-parents.

Because I know these little things matter for those whose dog is more than just a family-member.

Base

Paracord

The core of our necklaces is made with high quality paracord type III. Currently we have two base colours, that come as different designs:

The Signature necklace: Espresso brown

The Woodland necklace: Olive green

Colours

Beads

Our acrylic beads come in all earthy tones, in different shapes and sizes. There is no set pattern or colour scheme for the necklaces; I design each piece uniquely to your dog. Some might have more dark brown, others more white or moss green. I base this on your dog's coat/colour and breed, and what I believe would suit them. (You can fill this in when ordering). Your dog's necklace is truly a designer piece!

Letter charms

Each necklace standard comes with your dog's name (or initial) in gold letter charms. These charms are 18K gold plated stainless steel and waterproof. Charms are always included in the price—no matter the amount used. However, smaller size necklaces have a limit of 5-6 letters,

Brass hardware

Since your dog's necklace is made to size, we finish the piece with high-quality brass hardware. This matches the golden letter charms, giving the design that little extra special touch.
